A pair of pink ground famille rose porcelain plates dating from the early 19th century. The pink ground id decorated with lotuses and incised with swirling fern-like patterns surrounding a quatrefoil central design of 2 houses in a landscape. Both come in wire hangers. Large round hand painted three piece set. Under plate with Vicia sativa L., tureen with Linnaea borealis (Gronov.) L. and lid with Convolvulus arvensis L. Pair of Famille Rose Brush Washers, Republic
Pair of famille rose brush washers with wooden stands from the Republic Period. These round brush washers have a lovely red and gold-tone pattern covering their exterior along with a yellow ruyi and flower border near the rim. The body is covered in flowers and there are three white ground roundels with flowers and butterflies in them. The bottoms are marked with "CHINA" and a 6 character seal mark. They have wooden stands with 5 decorative swan head legs. Dimensions are 4 7/8 inches wide by 4 1/8 inches high. With the stands, the height is 6 1/4 inches. All measurements are approximate. Condition: They are in good condition with some minor paint wear. Provenance: From a Chicago estate; the proprietor resided in Hong Kong from 1950-1960. A Celadon Vase with Lotus Mouth, 18th Century. This large celadon vase has a lotus flower-shaped mouth and a lingzhi design around the base of the neck. It is approximately 11 1/2 inches in height.
