À propos de l'objet

Lot contains an enlisted WWII Ike jacket (A), a WWII overseas cap (B), two photos (C), and a Major’s summer tunic (D). (A) Lot contains a size 38R World War II Ike jacket to an enlisted member of the 34th Infantry Division. Jacket has the correct enlisted infantry collar brass, a “Ruptured Duck”, Presidential Unit Citation ribbon, marksmanship badges for rifle and machine gun, a Good Conduct medal pinned to the pocket, a Combat Infantry Badge, and ribbons for a Purple Heart, Good Conduct, and a European Campaign ribbon with three bronze star clusters. Jacket also has a 34th ID patch on the left sleeve, and appears to be unworn with no damage. Excellent. (B) a US World War II enlisted overseas cap in size 7.5. Cap has a machine sewn patch for the 34th ID on it, and appears to be unworn. Excellent. (C) Two photos of 34th ID soldiers in World War II. Unlikely these photos are of the soldier who wore the Ike jacket. One photo portrays a Staff Sergeant and the other has the caption of “Co. C 133rd Inf., 34th Inf Div, Italy Jan. 1945”. A troop assignment pass is also included. (D) A Major’s jungle jacket with no markings. Tag attached to jacket states “Howard Maxwell, Adjutant, OSS Det. 404, CBI, 6/1/85”. Also present is a “Relief from Active Duty, Officer Personnel” dated 6 December 1945 for Major Howard Maxwell. His relief effective date is 25 February 46. A very unique tunic.
